What is Neuropathy?

Simply put, Neuropathy is when the nerves become damaged. Neuropathy is commonly known as Peripheral Neuropathy. There are many underlying causes that can lead to neuropathy. Some of the most common causes are diabetes, poor nutrition, medication, autoimmune diseases, trauma, infection, or even hereditary conditions.

Peripheral Neuropathy affects nearly 46.5 million Americans. Peripheral Neuropathy is a progressive condition that general affects the lower legs and feet (It may also affect the hands and arms). As the condition advances, the symptoms will then start to move up the legs and/or up the arms.
